MNR Defends Tag Cut

The province is defending its decision to reduce moose tags in Ontario.

The Ministry of Natural Resources says it's based on surveys that found the number of moose on the decline in at least eight of fourteen wildlife management units reviewed, including two areas in the Rainy River district.

Hunters who normally go to Units 11A and 9B will have fewer tags available to them this fall.
