An Atikokan man is recovering from injuries following a snowmobile accident last week in the Atikokan area.Provincial Police says the 22-year-old was traveling on the ice of the Atikokan river Wednesday when he lost control of his snowmachine and it rolled on top of him.
The man was treated at the scene before being eventually taken to hospital in Thunder Bay for treatment of a leg injury.
A Fort Frances man also had to be taken to hospital in Thunder Bay with a leg injury earlier last week following a snowmobile accident on Rainy Lake.
OPP says the man was operating his snowmachine in the area of Ash Bay last Saturday when he was ejected from his sled, landing on the ice.
