The Rainy River District will be getting a new OPP detachment commander this month.
Staff Sergeant John Kendrick will take over the job from Inspector Dave Lucas, who relocated to Kenora in January.
Kendrick is currently the OPP's regional traffic manager in Thunder Bay.
Staff Sergeant Steve Shouldice has been acting superintendent since Lucas moved to Kenora.
