Demand for More Nurses

The president of the Ontario Nurses Association says the scrapping of 800 full and part-time nurses across the province is "just the tip of the iceberg.''

Linda Haslam-Stroud says the province is dragging its heels to hire more nurses.

The O.N.A. says hospitals are not replacing retiring nurses -- instead just adding extra patients to the workloads of nurses who are staying on.
