Randy Thoms will be among residents in the Rainy River district to receive medals at a ceremony in Fort Frances next month.
The event is being hosted by Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty.
Thoms, who's also worked in Kenora, Thunder Bay and New Brunswick, celebrates 30 years in the radio and television broadcast industry this year.
