New Digital Mammography Unit In Place

The new digital mammography unit, Riverside Foundation for Health Care has been raised money for, is now up and running.

Riverside Health Care Facilities CAO Allan Katz says they had enough confidence in the Foundation's campaign to commit to the purchase earlier this summer.

Katz says the unit is one of the best available producing a low amount of radiation and high quality clinical photographs.

Installation of the unit at LaVerendrye Hospital was completed last week.

The Foundation says it has all of the $650-thousand need in donations and commitments in place.
