A Toronto man is cycling across Canada trying to generate awareness of a concept that keeps the world economy stable than trying to make it grow.
In Fort Frances yesterday, Jordan Poppenk says increased interest in a green-economy is making it important to adopt a so-called steadystate economic.
"The arguments always given for the growth model is that its a way of increasing resources and reducing poverty," says Poppenk. "We haven't seen that happen. We could actually focus on those problems if we take the focus off of growth.
Poppenk is asking people to sign an on-line petition that will be forwarded to world leaders to consider.
