Ontario Provincial Police say they have laid more than 5,500 seatbelt charges during their spring seatbelt campaign.Sergeant Dave Woodford says police were shocked by the high number, since there were only 3,000 charges up to the end of March.
The spring campaign lasted only a week, ending Sunday.
