A Thunder Bay MP has quit the NDP.Bruce Hyer is now sitting as an Independent.
Hyer says Thomas Mulcair's recent statements to reinstate the gun registry if the party forms the next government forced his decision.
Hyer and fellow MP John Rafferty supported a Conservative bill to end the registry.
