NDP leader Andrea Horwath says it's the wrong time to be harmonizing sales taxes.
The province will be merging the federal five per cent GST and Ontario's eight per cent PST next year. But Horwath says the tax change is a bad idea at a time when an average $30 thousand people are losing their jobs each month.
She says families will be hit with a new sales tax when they can least afford it.
