OPP says both of the victims where in a vehicle, heading west, that came into collision with a commercial motor vehicle heading east on Highway 11 last snight at around 5 p.m. in the area of Windy Point Bridge and Reef Point Road, about 15 kilometers east of town.
A woman passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to hospital in Fort Frances where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No names are being immediately released.
The accident shut down the highway down for almost three hours.
