The area's Chronic Disease Management Network is again holding a workshop aimed at helping individuals, family members and caregivers of people with long-term illness
The six week program begins Monday.
Workshop participants learn about living with chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart problems, diabetes and pain.
They will also be given the tools for self-management of long-term conditions.
Bev Thomson of the Fort Frances Community Clinic and a co-facilitator of the program says it is designed to help people live well and is a great way to start the New Year.
"We hope that participants will improve their healthful behaviours," says Thompson. "Studies have shown that people who have attended this program improved in areas such as exercise and coping skills”.
There is no charge for the workshop.
