Research at the Experimental Lakes Area won't be starting right away.Despite a funding announcement by the provincial government last week, the International Institute for Sustainable Development says it won't be ready to take over until next spring.
Project manager Matt McCandless says there's still lots of work to do, including finding the rest of the money it expects will be needed to offset operating costs.
McCandless says the $2-million from Ontario will only cover about half of their estimated costs.
