A report that hopes to identify sources of wood for the idled Atikokan Forest Products Mill is expected out soon.
The town of Atikokan commissioned a consultant to explore potential supplies in hopes of getting the mill reopened.
Mayor Dennis Brown believes some of that wood could come from private woodlot holders.
"We're hopeful that through her work in talking with these people that she can come up with letters of intent with an amount that will be acceptable to the potential purchasers of the Atikokan Forest Products Mill," says Brown.
Brown says they'll present the finding to Eacom Timber at a meeting planned for next month.
