A fourteen–year–old boy is dead following an accident within Voyageurs National Park.The Koochiching County Sheriff's Office says emergency personnel were called out to the area of Diamond Island on Rainy Lake last night at about 6 o'clock regarding the boy found floating in the lake and unresponsive.
Briggs Anderson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota was eventually transported by air to hospital in Duluth where he later died.
The boy was with a group touring the lake by houseboat.
