Fort Frances Mayor Roy Avis is the latest recipient of a Queen Elizabeth the Second Diamond Jubilee Medal.Avis is receiving the medal for dedicated service to his peers, the community and Canada.
But unlike previous recipients, there was no formal presentation.
Avis received the notice, a certificate and the medal through the mail.
