A woman well-known in the agricultural circles of the Rainy River district is the latest recipient of a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Linda Armstrong of Sleeman was presented the medal during the Rainy River District Federation of Agriculture's annual meeting Friday in Emo.
Armstrong has been involved with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture for several years, championing the region's agricultural interests.
