(Ministry of Natural Resources photo)A lengthy warm spell has allowed the number of forest fires burning across northwestern Ontario to grow.
Almost forty new fires were reported over the weekend, pushing to 51 the number of those active.
Seven of were in the Rainy River district, most caused by lightning from previous storms.
There are seven fires still burning in the district.
