More than three-thousand people are now staying in hotels and evacuation centres around the province as the forest fire fight in northwestern Ontario continues.
Some have been moved to places as far away as Ottawa.
Ian Davidson, deputy minister for Community Safety, says it's because some northern communities aren't in a position to house more the evacuees.
A total of 23 towns and cities across the province have been identified as hosts sites for the evacuees.
